Sophie Manessiez

Native of northern France, Sophie Manessiez discovered her passion for ceramics more than 18 years ago. She trained in artisanal ceramics in 2007 in Paris and after several years of practice in various workshops, she obtained her college diploma in ceramic crafts techniques in 2021 in Montreal, Quebec. 

Sophie Manessiez is a member of the Quebec Craft Council. She has participated in different exhibitions and received various awards and recognitions for her ceramic work.  Her contemporary ceramic pieces are made of porcelain and stoneware for the contrasts they reveal: the purity, finesse and fragility of porcelain and the great hardness and resistance to aggression of stoneware.
